In this workshop you will follow body movements that will help reduce and sometimes alleviate pain. This is a great technique for all kinds of back, muscle, joint and arthritis pain.
The Feldenkrais Method is developed to reduce pain and discomfort and expand the joy of life. The instructions are verbal, but the experiences are non verbal. With more flexibility, your possibilities to function at a higher level will increase. The movements are gentle, slow, and comfortable; and will expand your overall performance. Most often the movements are performed with the student on the floor. It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothes and bring a blanket to use under you during the lesson.
This workshop meets every Monday at 5:30PM to 6:30PM.

About the Instructor:
Ann-Kristen Hillgren is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner,who has been in US 17 years and enjoy the teaching of Awareness Through Movement lessons to help those with problems in muscles, joints or just general pain. When she first encountered the Method she found it surprisingly effective for her own tight muscles and stiff joints. At the time Ann-Kristen was Physical Therapist in Sweden working with pain rehabilitation, ergonomics, and joint mobilizations. Coming to Kalamazoo, MI, together with her husband in 1997 Ann-Kristen started to take classes at Western Michigan University where she received a Bachelor in Health and a License in Holistic Health.
Ann-Kristen decided to find something special to do and thought of the method that changed her look at bodywork and found a program that fulfilled her deepest dreams.
